Arsenal submit bid for Leicester City’s James Maddison
Arsenal have opened the bidding for Leicester City midfielder, James Maddison, by making a player-plus-cash offer, Football London reports.
Mikel Arteta wants to bring him a no 10 this summer, after Martin Odegaard returned to Real Madrid following his loan spell with the Gunners.
Leicester value Maddison at £60m by the Foxes.
The 24-year-old joined the Foxes from Norwich for a fee of around £25m in 2018.
Arsenal would be willing to include the likes of Hector Bellerin, Eddie Nketiah, Ainsley Maitland Niles, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson in any potential deal for Maddison.
Maddison signed a new five-year deal with Leicester City in 2020, making him one of the best paid players at the club.
It is also believed another London club has made an offer for the player.
