Big Daddy Weave’s Jay Weaver Returns Home After ICU Hospitilization
Big Daddy Weave’s bass player, Jason (Jay) Weaver is back home this weekend after spending some time hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) this past week.
Jay’s family has been sharing updates on the Big Daddy Weave social media accounts with the last post from Friday, August 6th reading “JAY IS HOME!!!!!” The post continued, “Thank you for all of your prayers! God has been so gracious and kind during these past few days.”
Jay was admitted to the ICU on August 4th due to complications related to his dialysis treatments. Jay was reportedly having issues with unstable blood pressure, severe pains and a possible infection. Initially, there was some concern that he may need a finger amputated, but in the latest update, he was discharged to home without an additional amputation. Fans may remember the #PrayForJay movement in 2016 after Jay required bilateral foot amputations as a result of infections.
“The Lord heard all your requests and surpassed them,” Jay’s wife Emily posted. “We still have a journey…We have follow ups with doctors these next two weeks. There may be changes in medical treatments. We are trusting completely in His plan. Thank you, thank you, thank you again for your prayers and sweet words.”
Jay is expected to take time off of touring to focus on his health. Please join us in continuing to pray for Jay, his wife Emily, and their children Makenzie, Madison and Nathan.
