Christian Eriksen finally returns to Inter Milan

Inter Milan midfielder, Christian Eriksen, has finally return to the club for the first time since his collapse at the recently concluded Euro 2020.

Sports Illustrated reports that Eriksen landed in Milan on Tuesday and has already met with Inter CEO, Giuseppe Marotta.

Recall that Eriksen collapsed on the field during Denmark’s opening Euro 2020 1-0 defeat against Finland last month.

Eriksen’s teammates formed a protective wall around him as medical officials resuscitated him with a defibrillator.

The 29-year-old spent one week in the hospital, where he had a type of pacemaker fitted, before going home to Denmark to recover.

Eriksen had also undergone a raft of medical tests to find out the cause for the cardiac arrest.

The former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker will undergo additional tests in Italy and is not expected to be back on a soccer field for at least six months.

Depending on the nature of his treatment and the cause of the cardiac arrest, Eriksen could be banned from playing in Italy but could continue his football career in England or the Netherlands where the regulations are different.
