EPL: Man United boss, Solskjaer reacts to Ronaldo’s ‘move’ to Man City
Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has waved aside speculation linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to Manchester City, describing it as ‘nonsense’.
Ronaldo is said to be pushing his way out of Juventus, seeking a return to the Premier League, amid interest from Pep Guardiola’s reigning champions.
Man City failed in their bid to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham after the England star officially announced his desire to remain at north London.
Ronaldo spent 6 trophy-laden years at Manchester United before joining Real Madrid earlier in his career.
Many Man United fans have suggested the 36-year-old would tarnish his legacy by joining United rivals, Man City, and Solskjaer cannot envisage his former teammate making a highly contentious move.
“I do not read newspapers,” he told reporters in Norway.
“I know how much nonsense is written there, anyway.”
