EPL: Roberto Mancini speaks reaching agreement with Man Utd to succeed Rangnick permanently
Italy head coach, Roberto Mancini has rejected claims he has a ‘verbal agreement’ with Manchester United to become their next permanent manager after Ralf Rangnick.
Mancini has been linked with the Man United job when Rangnick’s interim spell comes to an end next summer.
The 57-year-old has been tipped to become Man United’s next permanent manager.
Speaking on the development, the Italian ruled himself out of taking the Man United job, insisting that his only focus is on next year’s World Cup in Qatar.
“A verbal agreement with a Premier League club? All false,” Mancini told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“My only goal is to get to the World Cup and be able to win it.”
Mancini guided Manchester City to their first English Premier League title in 2012.
