Funke bada was born in Lagos Nigeria. She was born by Pastor&Deaconess Bakare. She is the
3rd born of 5 siblings who are all professionals and music ministers. She started her music
career from her early age in Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) as the hymn leader, Proceeded to
Living Faith Church(aka Winners Chapel), ile-ife where she spent 7 years in the choir and then to
The Redeemed Christian Church Of God after Marriage…..
She attended, Anglican girls seminary school Lagos State, Bereton College Port Harcourt and
then Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife where she studied Dentistry.
She’s married to Barrister Wole Jimi-Bada, who is a seasoned Legal Practitioner that have
handled different high-profile cases in Nigeria. They are blessed with three glorious children (two
sons and a daughter).
Funke Bada(aka l’aye mi) has led the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Mass Choir in
many songs. God has inspired her to compose some of the theme songs for Redeemed Special
Holy Ghost Services, Annual Conventions, Holy Ghost Congresses and Fire for Fire program of
RCCG, Lagos Province 19, Ogudu Lagos holding every third Saturday of the month.
To the glory of God, she was the best female vocalist at the Annual ENLARGE Choir Competition
organized by RCCG Region 11 for 2018 and 2019 consecutively.
She is a Doctor(Dental Practitioner), a Sunday school teacher, a Choir Coordinator, song
Composer, Song Writer, Praise and Worship Leader and a consummated singer whose stage
performance captivates her audience. She is the leader of the “WHITER THAN SNOW GOSPEL
BAND” and God has been using them for His Glory at many events. To the glory of God, she has 2
Albums titled WHITER THAN SNOW and L’AYE MI.
She’s also the Secretary for National Council for Child Rights Advocates in Nigeria(NACCRAN),
Lagos State Chapter.
