Scottish singer and songwriter Jamie Kimmett has been hospitalized following a serious car accident over the weekend. According to a post on Kimmett’s official Facebook page, Jamie’s car was hit by an 18 wheeler truck on Friday, August 20th while driving home from a concert in Arkansas.
“He was airlifted by helicopter and rushed to the ER dept of a nearby hospital,” according to Team Kimmett. “He is currently in a stable condition with doctors describing the fact he survived as ‘remarkable’ and ‘1000-1’. We praise God for this miracle and would ask that you please pray for him as he recovers at home.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the medical expenses Kimmett will encounter since he does not have medical insurance in the US. As of Tuesday afternoon, over $26,000 had been raised out of the $50K goal. “Please be assured everything raised will go towards Jamie’s recovery and ensuring he can (God willing) return to making music and ministering,” according to the post.
