Jamie Kimmett Released From Hospital Following Serious Car Accident
Scottish singer and songwriter Jamie Kimmett shared some good news online last night, posting that he has been released from the hospital following a serious car accident over the weekend. Jamie’s car was hit by an 18 wheeler truck on Friday, August 20th while driving home from a concert in Arkansas. Kimmett was airlifted from the scene to a nearby hospital.
“PRAISE GOD!! HE HAS SPARED MY LIFE BY A MIRACLE,” Kimmett shared with excitement. “So grateful to be alive and so grateful for every one of you who have prayed for me, sent messages, left comments and donated at this time. Your kindness and support is overwhelming!”
Kimmett added that miraculously he did not break any bones and has no internal damage. “I have painful cuts, bruising, stitches, muscle/joint pain and still picking glass and concrete off my head and body…but given the odds of survival, this is truly amazing.”
Prayers for healing of Jamie’s left hand and thumb are still needed in particular as his guitar chord hand is badly cut and stitched up. In addition to prayers, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the medical expenses Kimmett will encounter since he does not have medical insurance in the US. Kimmett’s initial hospital bill tops $27K with significant other costs expected.
Kimmett ended the Facebook update with a faith-filled message saying “I guess God is not done with me yet OUR GOD REIGNS!”
