Man Utd vs Liverpool: ‘My darkest day’ – Solskjaer makes demand after 5-0 defeat
Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has urged the Red Devils to quickly get over their 5-0 embarrassing defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.
Solskjaer also claimed that Man United’s defeat to Liverpool was his darkest day as a manager of the club.
Liverpool thrashed Man United at Old Trafford following a hat-trick from Mohamed Salah and a goal each from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota.
“It’s not easy to say something apart from it is the darkest day I have had leading these players,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
“We were not good enough individually and as a team. The whole performance was not good enough.
“You can look at last season we lost to Spurs 6-1, this is worse, miles worse.
“This is miles worse for me as a Manchester lad. I have just got to say we have to get over this as quickly as we can.”
Man United’s next Premier League match is against Tottenham Hotspur on October 30.
