The Premier League on Wednesday, released a six-man shortlist for the 2020/2021 Young Player of the Year award.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden could emulate Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale by being voted the men’s PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year in the same season, as he has been shortlisted to win both awards.
In the Young Player of the Year section, Foden will battle it out with Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold who won it last year, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood, West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice and Chelsea’s Mason Mount.

Foden won the Premier League and Carabao Cup with City this season, as well as helping Pep Guardiola’s team reach the Champions League final where they lost 1-0 to Chelsea.
The 21-year-old scored 16 goals in all competitions for City this season.
The winner will be revealed on Sunday, June 6.
