Martin Odegaard has revealed he will be staying at Real Madrid for the 2021/2022 season.
The 22-year-old made nine appearances for the LaLiga side last term, before joining Arsenal on loan in January.
Odegaard impressed under Mikel Arteta and the Gunners have been keen to land him on a permanent deal this summer.
But the player himself has confirmed that Madrid have told him he is part of their plans for the upcoming campaign.
“Real Madrid have been clear that they would like me back,” Odegaard said in an interview with Norwegian television channel TV 2.
“So then it will be time to go there when the training starts up again.
“Of course it has always been a dream to play there. I have been in the club for over six years now, and that has always been the goal.”
