TOPIC: Stop Writing Your Yourself Off (TREM Devotional 23 November 2021)
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” 1 Peter 2:9 KJV
Many people look around and imagine that their time to be blessed has passed. Some conclude that it is impossible for them to be blessed. Others imagine that success in life is exclusively preserved of a few. Is it any wonder that the world classifies some people as blue-blooded? And when you are blue-blooded, it is assumed that you have been born into a lineage that can never be poor again. Some people conclude that they are not complete because they are not blue-blooded or born with a silver spoon in their mouth.
Take a moment and think of it! The blue blood speaks of nobility. Which blood can be nobler than the blood of Jesus? He died only once over 2000 years ago, and till now, His blood has not congealed; it has not lost its power. So, why are you writing yourself off? Why do you think that you are of an inferior quality when your Father is the one who made everything that exists? The Bible rightly says that without Him, there is nothing made that was made. I am challenging you today to spend time in His presence and begin to see yourself as He sees you. You are royalty! You are heaven’s ambassador on earth.
If you are made in the image and likeness of God and you are royalty, then there are ways you cannot express yourself. Your clothes, your hair and everything about you must portray royalty. Look at the royal families of this world, there is a way they carry themselves. They are trained from birth and the royalty mentality is planted into them. Beloved, God expects you to do the same. The moment you give your life to Christ, He expects you to receive and imbibe all that He wants you to be. You are royalty and all things are possible for you, if only you believe.
