TOPIC: The Purpose Of Salvation (TREM Devotional 24 August 2021)
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” – Romans 5:17 KJV
The word ‘salvation’ is a very robust and all-encompassing word. Unfortunately, majority of Christians think it is solely to save us from sin and reconcile us back to the Father. That is a very small fraction of this gift. That line of thought will produce the idea that all we are saying is: “Lord, we are waiting for you to come and take us away.” That is not the purpose of our salvation. If that was the purpose, you would have died and gone to heaven immediately you got saved.
Our salvation restores us to a place of dominion. You have a place that God created for you. You are not here for nothing. God’s purpose and intention for you is that you will dominate that space. We already have all it takes to take over and dominate our space. We are the instruments that God will use to reach our world and to exercise His authority and power here on earth. He has given us delegated authority so that we can stand effectively in the place of dominion. Authority is delegated to you to exercise the power of God in your space.
When you pray in the name of Jesus, do you know what happens? Do you know how God sees you in the spirit and how the devil sees you? You think that when you pray in the name of Jesus, Jesus will now come and do it? No. When you are praying in the name of Jesus, it is like Jesus himself is praying.
Stop looking for somebody else, you are the Jesus. So with this mentality and with the realization that whenever Jesus prayed He always had results, you will never doubt your prayer. The Bible says Jesus is the head of the church and He is in heaven, and we are his body and we are here. As He is, so are we in this world.
