Christian rapper and active-duty United States Air Force member Tyrone Crawford Music celebrates his 15th marriage anniversary while deployed away from his family for 6 months in another country.
Tyrone has been saying for years that he’s wanted to do something extraordinary for his wife on their 15th anniversary. While making plans to do so, he received a call stating that he would be deploying to another country for 6 months. This terrible news, which caused Tyrone to have to get creative.
“After getting notified about my deployment, I put everything on hold. Music, shows, and tours all stopped just so I could focus on my family before it was time for me to leave,” says Tyrone.
While he was gone on deployment, he began making new plans for their 15th anniversary in hopes to still make it memorable, and those plans were built around Tyrone’s hit song “Forever ft. Shiana.” We asked Tyrone what he did that was so creative, and this is what he said:
“Well, 15 years of marriage is a long time, especially for us being so young. It’s one of those big numbers like year 5 and year 10. Because I wasn’t there to do the original plan I had, I decided to buy my wife a gift for every single year we’ve been married and send them to her.”
You might be thinking of random small gifts, but no, he purchased items such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Jordan, and Coach. So, it cost a pretty penny.
“I would have her record herself opening the gifts and email the videos to me so I could see her reaction to each gift, and she loved it! The gifts were expensive, but my wife is not a material-driven person, but there are items I’ve heard her mention in the early years of our marriage that she wanted, but we couldn’t afford at the time, so I bought them for her. It took me 15-years to get to this point,” said Tyrone.
As mentioned, his planning was built around his hit song “Forever ft. Shiana,” which is dedicated to his wife, Bridget Crawford. Tyrone put the song’s chorus at the beginning of each clip that his wife sent him and shared the videos with the world.
“The reason I shared the videos is to show people that you can get married young and last forever,” said Tyrone.
It gets even better! The biggest surprise is when Tyrone surprised his wife by coming home from deployment early, which he could capture on camera as well; the video is below.
Tyrone Crawford Music has been married to his wife, Bridget Crawford, for 15-years, and they have two beautiful children. Tyrone said that he already has their 20th anniversary planned out and hopes there won’t be any interruptions this time.
