UCL: Why Solskjaer doesn’t trust Pogba in Man Utd’s central midfield – Paul Scholes
Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has given a reason the club’s manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, doesn’t trust Paul Pogba to play in central midfield for the Red Devils.
According to Scholes, Solskjaer doesn’t trust Pogba in Man United’s central midfield because the France international lacks discipline.
Pogba was dropped by Solskjaer from Man United’s starting XI to tackle Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League, UCL, on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.
Fred and Scott McTominay started ahead of Pogba, following the latter’s disappointing display in their 4-2 defeat to Leicester City last weekend.
“He [Solskjaer] just does not trust him [Pogba] in that position,” Scholes told BT Sport.
“I think he has tried to trust him, he has given him so many chances and he really wants to, but he is seeing the lack of discipline he has in that position.
“It could cost them dearly and tonight is such an important game for him [Solskjaer].
“Lack of trust in a player is not good. He [Pogba] will be disappointed, but he has to get over it and fight back.”
